School Mission
Global Business Institute, a not-for-profit educational institution, was established in Far Rockaway and Harlem to offer educational opportunities to the surrounding communities. Global Business Institute serves substantial numbers of ATB students and provides job placement. To provide the best opportunity for success, Global has developed objectives that address the many transitional needs facing its students.

Objectives

• Carefully evaluate every student who applies to Global, and accept for admission only those determined to have the ability to benefit from the training.
• Create an educational environment of cooperation and communication among students, faculty and administrative support staff that is essential to successful outcomes.
• Provide intensive counseling during the first semester that addresses personal, medical, academic, and financial needs.
• Offer in the first semester courses that stimulate, support and encourage students to continue their education.
• Develop cognitive skill levels that challenge and stimulate a student's critical thinking and problem solving abilities.
• Increase the student's technical competency and research methods in the second and third semesters, thereby increasing their chances for employment.
• Prepare students during their internship semester for the transition to work and/or continuing education.
